Simply put… we work with individuals, families and businesses who are making important decisions about their investments, planning, retirement and other important matters in their lives.
- P&G – with such a large manufacturing plant almost in our back yard, folks approaching retirement or those who are entering retirement have made up a large part of our clientele. One of our partners at Stone House, John Burke, was a former manager at the plant for 14 years and his experience and financial background has allowed our entire team to truly understand the ins and outs of the plan. - Rollovers – the vast majority of our clients come to us with a common purpose; to help them transition. Sometimes it is from one job to the next; which might mean they need us to help them with a simple rollover. But in most cases it is helping them go from working their whole life to the retirement stage. A move like that often includes some very serious yet exciting decisions which can sometimes be overwhelming. We partner up with our clients and walk them through it. It’s much easier and less stressful when you have someone helping you.
- Healthcare Providers – Medical professionals, administrators, staff and many more work hard to help keep our families healthy. Many are so busy providing health care that they don’t have time to stay on top of their financial health. That is where we can help. Many health care providers like you are juggling everyday financial needs, student debt, business investment, increasing insurance costs, and radical changes in coding and regulation all while trying to save for the future so you can also retire someday. Through the use of our own methods and sometimes coupled with 3rd party arrangements, we focus on your Revenue Cycle Management to help you optimize your practice.
In most of our client relationships, we are paid for our asset management services. In simple terms, those fees are charged quarterly and are tied to a percentage of the assets we help you manage. Although our maximum fee starts at 1.65%, many of our clients will often range from 0.75% to 1.35% as we do provide discounting for those who have larger accounts. Our Advisers will provide you with a full disclosure of our specific fees based on your criteria before entering into any service agreement. You can request our ADV 2 Disclosure Brochure for details of our business and fees.
We like to start with a face-to-face meeting so we can look each other in the eye and begin to feel comfortable. That meeting is definitely more efficient if you are able to bring specific information that we’ll need to help you move forward. When scheduling that appointment, we’ll usually provide you with that list, which will include items such as statements from the accounts you want us to help with, social security estimates, retirement account statements and anything else you think it might be important for us to know about in order to help.
You bet it is! We live in the same communities that our clients do. If we don’t keep it confidential… we don’t have a job.
If you come to us with a preference, we will do our very best to match you up with him/her. Although, with our commitment toward teamwork and open architecture, the reality is that many of us end up helping each other with many aspects of our clients’ matters.
As often as you prefer. Well, let’s clarify that a bit. We can meet as often as quarterly but many of our clients only prefer once or twice per year. Some choose even less than that. From our perspective, we want to be there for you to answer questions and address matters that need attention but we don’t want to force you to talk when you don’t feel there is a need… or if you don’t have the time.
Great question! We love diversification! That’s why our portfolios are invested in so many different places and things. We use mainly Mutual Funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). Most of our portfolios are managed in-house but sometimes we seek outside third party managers to bring in another approach. In addition to that, we offer clients different Management Styles. With everything from actively-managed to buy-and-hold styles, there is sure to be a strong mix that we can fit to your goals.
